Abstract

|
|
Average fertilization rate (67.4%), abnormal fertilization rate (4.8%) and proportion of grade 1 embryo (51.3%) of FCS group were slightly higher than those of HAS group (65.5%, 2.9 and 45.8%, respectively), but proportion of over 2 cell (FCS:
85.5%,
HSA: 90.3%) and average embryo score (FCS: 11.9, HAS: 12.7) were vice versa. Any of these differences were not significant.
To evaluatt the usefulness of human serum albumin as a supplement for the culture medium of in vitro fertilization, the effects of fetal cord serum (FCS group) or human serum albumin (HAS group) on the fertilization rate and embryo quality were
studied.
It is concluded that HAS was useful as a supplement for the culture medium of IVF.
